Analysis on Factors Affecting the Return to Work, Classified List of Personal Damage and Mild Personal Damage Among Workers with Industrial Accident

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors affecting the return to work, classified list of personal damage, and mild personal damage among workers who experienced an industrial accident. We conducted a stepwise regression analysis on the data of 2000 workers who experienced an accident to analyze the 1st Workers¡¯ Compensation Insurance Panel of the Labor Welfare Research Institute. As a result, the financial status of individuals and their households, status of support from the affiliated company, status of working environment with the affiliated company, and status of negative impact on life due to industrial accident were related to the return to work. The variables of health and quality of life were strongly related to the classified list of personal damage. The compensation for industrial accident services was related to the degree of personal damage. Therefore, there are necessary control variables relating to finances, variables relating to working environment to improve the return to work. Additionally, it is important to improve the variables of health and quality of life to alleviate the classified list of personal damage. On the other hand, it is important to provide early rehabilitation services to reduce mild personal damage.
